Chad Barr has dedicated his entire legal career to protecting his clients and their rights against powerful insurance companies.

Chad received his Juris Doctorate from Florida A & M College of Law and has been licensed to practice law since 2008. Chad is a proud alumnus of the 2017 National Champions University of Central Florida. Chad grew up in the great states of Maine and Florida.

Chad Barr Law was started in 2014 and the firm’s practice areas include auto accident claims, slip and fall claims, wrongful death claims, general negligence claims, personal injury protection (PIP) claims, windshield claims, homeowner’s claims, life insurance claims, and all other forms of insurance denials and coverage disputes. Prior to starting the firm, Chad was the lead associate in a mid-size insurance litigation firm. In over a decade of practice, Chad has litigated over ten-thousand insurance claims recovering millions of dollars for his clients.

In addition to insurance litigation, Chad handles appeals in both state and federal court. Chad has handled appeals in every District Court of Appeal in Florida as well as the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Barr’s 2019 unanimous decision from the Florida Supreme Court reinforced that insurance companies were unlawfully applying deductibles to insurance claims.

Chad is happily married with two children and three dogs (Duke, Justice and Knightro). Chad loves baseball including spending weekends at the baseball field and is a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan. He is active in the local community and supports local youth athletic organizations, as well as the Autism Society of Greater Orlando. Chad is a board member of the Edgewood Children’s Ranch and is a board member of the Florida Collegiate Summer League. Chad is also active in his local church with an emphasis on community service. Chad is an adjunct professor at Florida A & M College of Law where he teaches Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Criminal Procedure to future lawyers.

Growing up in Lisbon, Maine, Chad is well-versed in the “Maine way of life”. From long summer days on boats and RVs in the summer to cold days on sleds and skies in the winter, Chad brings the knowledge and experience necessary to understand the details of each individual case.
